When I was in the Cape Fear Jazz Ensemble, I had to learn this walking-bass, jazz-style blues exercise. It was for a performance for the school, a duet with another guitarist, who played a Charlie Parker head over the top of it.

Sympathy For The Devil

The first couple of minutes of this, there was a guy playing tambourine and it was so bad, we had to literally take it away from him!

You wouldn't think anyone could mess up that badly on a tambourine. After we repossessed it, the next 5 minutes of the song aren't too bad!
